Ducati Monster description

This bike was most recently used as an ultra light race bike with the Minnesota Central Roadracing Association. It's got an Ohlins shock, worked forks, power commander, air box mods, clip ons, rear sets, and raised exhaust specifically to make it race ready. It has been in storage for the last 8 years. Its housed some mice and is generally pretty dirty, but still a very solid bike. It's been crashed a couple times, but all critical bits are very functional, and its always been a strong running bike. The worst damage is cosmetic only to the gas tank, as you can see in the pictures. It will take some TLC to get this back into prime condition, but it has been priced accordingly. We have all the original parts to make this back into a road bike, included loose in a plastic bin as pictured. Its available to be seen if you would like to get a closer look, just email me. Capirossi Announces Retirement at Conclusion of 2011 Season

Loris Capirossi announced he will retire at the end of the 2011 MotoGP season, closing off a quarter century of racing including 22 years at the Grand Prix level and three World Championships. “It’s an important moment in my career, and the decision I made has come about after a lot of reflection,” says Capriossi. “I’m happy that after 25 years, of which 22 were in the world championship, I’m at a point where I can still have a smile on my lips as I part ways, even if it’s difficult to think that I won’t be riding a bike next year.” The announcement was made during a press conference at Misano for the upcoming San Marino Grand Prix, the final Italian stop of the 2011 season.
