Ducati Monster description

One of the only two model years that it had a metal tank, less electronics, no catalytic converter, yet had fuel injection. I was planning to keep it as a collector's bike for a longer time, but I need the space in my garage and don't ride it enough. Very few Monster 900ie bikes from 2001-2002 out there that could be in such a great condition--it took me a long time to find it a few years ago.

It is great for short riders and has incredible torque. One of the lightest bikes in this class. I think dry weight is about 380lbs, and it is air cooled.

Great condition, extremely low miles, entirely stock (the front fairing is added, but comes off easily if you don't like it). Always garaged - no signs of it ever being kept outside. I bought it five years ago from a lady in South Carolina. I put on new Pilot Road 2CT tires, had the brake fluid changed, had the timing belt changed, new clutch master cylinder (with Ducati original part), and put in a new battery. I have been changing the oil only with synthetic and recently changed it. I think I have some extra maintenance parts such as air, fuel, and oil filter.

$4,900, firm. Cash, only in person--I will not ship. I also have a set of UK-made exhausts, if you like louder, less-restrictive exhausts, almost new.

Priced to sell. At the time of this posting, for example, there is one 2000 Monster 900 on eBay for $4,500 with 29,000 miles and modified. This bike should keep its value if you take care of it.

I have the manuals and all keys.

Ask questions before you commit, and please come and see it if you can before you buy it.

2023 Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 First Look

Thu, 10 Mar 2022

Fast Facts Lightweight carbon wheels STM-EVO SBK dry clutch Matte Black Winter Test livery MSRP $39,500 Ducati's "Ultimate Racetrack Machine" As we had previously reported last month, Ducati is introducing a new Panigale V4 SP2, a numbered series production model it bills as “The Ultimate Racetrack Machine.” Internationally, the SP2 is a 2022 model, but for North America, it will arrive in dealerships in the fourth quarter as a 2023 model. A follow up to 2021’s SP model, the SP2 takes all the updates the Panigale V4 and V4 S received for 2022, and adds a number of upgrades to make it worthy of the “Sport Production” label and $39,500 price tag. These upgrades include carbon wheels, Brembo Stylema R calipers, MCS radial master cylinder, STM-EVO SBK dry clutch, lightened 520 chain, billet Rizoma footpegs and a matt black Winter Test livery.

Lightning Motorcycles, has announced today that it has just signed Carlin Dunne to compete at this year’s Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb in June. Dunne is the current lap record holder on a motorcycle, and the two-time and defending class champion. This marks a historic moment, as Dunne will switch from the gas-powered Ducati Multistrada he rode to his past victories to the all-electric Lightning superbike.

The North East,Prescott and fast laps with Chris Walker at Mallory

Thu, 26 Apr 2012

A big thanks to all at Newcastle Motorcycles for lending me a Honda CB1000F on Saturday to do nothing other than join mates for a blast round some fantastic roads in the North East. The buddies in question were Alan Smith (Bradley’s dad) and two stroke addict and race fan Chris Berriman. We headed east over the moors from the ‘Toon’ heading towards Barnard Castle then back through Consett before finishing up at the picturesque Tynemouth.
