A big thanks to all at Newcastle Motorcycles for lending me a Honda CB1000F on Saturday to do nothing other than join mates for a blast round some fantastic roads in the North East. The buddies in question were Alan Smith (Bradley’s dad) and two stroke addict and race fan Chris Berriman. We headed east over the moors from the ‘Toon’ heading towards Barnard Castle then back through Consett before finishing up at the picturesque Tynemouth.

In todays news that really isnt news, an interview of Ducati CEO, Gabriele del Torchio, by Bruno de Prato found on Cycle Worlds website on August 3rd, reveals the CEO speaking in a matter-of-fact tone about Valentino Rossis status as a team member on Ducatis MotoGP effort. In the CW article, Del Torchio states that the 2010 racing season will not bring to Ducati any crown in the sport, but that he looks forward to Valentino Rossi teaming up with Nicky Hayden. “Nicky is a wonderful person and a great rider.
