This 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale S - it is quite literally "as new" - is in beautiful condition having been
recently serviced by an ex-Ducati Minneapolis certified tech with
recalls covered by official Ducati dealer Moon Motors, Monticello, Minnesota. It starts and
runs out superbly, just as it should. It is to-near-stock specification
except for its heat-wrapped Termignoni exhaust system, suede seat and
factory "competition" rear-set foot pegs and levers. It has a battery tender hook-up, tender supplied. The vast majority of its 4226 miles were ridden on the street. The bike has been "babied", always garaged and ridden with sanity. Both tires have good life left. The seller has to stop riding motorcycles even though he doesn't want to.
The numbers quoted by Ducati for this S-with-ABS model are: 195 horsepower at 10,750rpm, near 100lb-ft of torque at 9000rpm for a dry weight of 414lb. Think 175mph, 35mpg and zero-to-60mph in 2.98 seconds. And arguably the most handsome motorcycle bodywork of 2012. The Panigale "bolts" the steering head and fork to the engine at the front, the rear suspension to the engine's rear, to provide benchmark handling with its top-of-the-line electronic Ohlins suspension, Brembo radial mono bloc front brakes and Marchesini wheels. British automotive publication CAR Magazine cites high-level sources within Audi in reporting the car maker has won first dibs to negotiate a deal.
