2008 Ducati Superbike 1098, This is my Ducati 1098. I bought it new at the end of 2008. It has been kept in a garage and never ridden in the rain, or the wet. It has had its first 500 mile service and is now on 1279 miles of fun. Everything on this bike is standard and like new. Rear foot-pegs are still wrapped and have never been fitted. I know that the 749 and the 999 split opinion when they were launched. And even today, they don't possess the obviously stunning silhouette of the 848 and 1098 but I'm pretty sure they'll become curious classics in the future. However, this 749 is different and I think it's stunning because, well, it's not the same old 749R with a few carbon bits added.

Ducati has unveiled a new R version of its 1199 Panigale, providing an upgraded version of the sportbike for World Superbike homologation. Unveiled at the 2012 EICMA Show, the 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale R is based on the S model but with lighter components, ABS standard, a higher-revving engine, an adjustable swingarm pivot and full race kit. The Panigale R’s 1198cc engine receives new titanium con-rods Ducati claims shaves 1.38 pounds off the overall weight.
