This (last of the real Ducati SuperBikes) is the last year, and production run of the Ducati 999. It includes top of the line Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes, Marchesini wheels, and more direct from the factory. Which is good since it was $20,000 when it was new, and that's before more than $5,000 in upgrades were installed! Upgrades include:
This is not my first Ducati 999. I've had a lot of 999's and have rode at least 15,000 miles on 999's over the years.

Tires have maybe 500 miles on them, so expect to replace them soon. Bike has been dropped before, but damage was basically limited to the original fairings. The only other damage was exceptionally minor (very hard to see any) and limited axle and bar end sliders which have simply been removed from the bike. If I didn't tell you this bike had been dropped, or if you didn't know that it originally came with different bodywork, you may have never noticed. I have several great upgrade parts available from BellissiMoto for this bike. Last year, Chris Fillmore and the wicked KTM 1290 Super Duke R set a record in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, completing a 19.99 km course with 156 turns in 9 minutes 49.625 seconds. But back in 2012, the Ducati Multistrada went out of 10 minutes and became the two-wheeled route record holder.
2012 Ducati Diavel AMG Special Edition Announced
Tue, 06 Sep 2011The marketing partnership between Ducati and Mercedes’ AMG division continues with a new special edition version of the Diavel. The 2012 Ducati Diavel AMG Special Edition is equipped with AMG’s signature 5-spoke wheels, an AMG-style exhaust with engraved end-caps, an Alcantara-upholstered horizontally ribbed seat and carbon fiber radiator grills with aluminum trim. The AMG special edition model will come in the same matte black color as the Ducati Diavel Carbon it is based on, but with AMG’s “Diamond White Bright” stripe and trellis frame.
