Ducati Superbike description
This is a great bike!!!! Never raced! Never dropped or wrecked! Never abused or ran hard! The hardest it has worked has been winding it out down a 2 lane country road!
It has a lot of upgrades including a full Termignoni carbon fiber exhaust. All head pipes were sent off and ceramic coated to keep the heat in and maintain a corrosion free exhaust. The full exhaust comes with a free flowing air filter (maybe k&n but cant remember) and a race ecm. The race ecm causes it to be a bit of a challenge to operate smoothly around town so a power commander was added and tuned to make it a little more "streetable". If you ever would want to race it, just unplug the power commander and you will have the full benefits of the Ducati race computer that is on it. Total cost of exhaust was about $3000. Power Commander was about $350. It has a carbon fiber lower fairing that was about $600. Also has a carbon fiber rear fender hugger about $100. It has a Puig windshield, double bubble, or whatever they call it that pushes the wind up over your helmet. That was about $150. Much nicer than stock. Also added a HyperPro steering stabilizer as the stock stabilizer did not do a good job. HyperPro works excellent and cost about $400. It has a full frame plug kit to cover all the unsightly stock holes in the frame, purely just for show but cost about $150. The rear tire has about 600 miles on it and the front tire is stock and will need replaced sometime soon. Probably will need a battery some time soon too but for now it starts it. It also has a vented clutch cover with updated pressure plate and slightly stiffer springs. I have the stock ones too if you want to go back. It has a seat for a passenger. It has never been sat on as far as I know. The rear cowl comes off and the seat goes in its place for a passenger. It has LED lights all around. Front turn signals are built into front of mirrors and the rear taillight blinks one side at a time for the turn signals. Mirror extensions were added to get the mirrors out a little farther as the stock setup has you looking at your arms. It also has an under fender license plate holder with light. You will find 1 scratch on this bike. I took a picture of it. It goes through the letter "C" in "Ducati" on the left side of the tank. Not very noticeable but it is there and I have no idea how it got there. Just noticed it one day! Bike also comes with both front and rear stands as I will have no use for them anymore. I also have an original owners manual and all the little booklets that came with it new, and a full service manual on cd that goes with it.
This bike has been VERY meticulously maintained and treated with the utmost care! Only the best parts were used when upgrading. Being 6 years old and having less than 5000 miles should tell you how much it was riden. I have a crapload of money, very close if not over $21000, in it that I know I wont get back out of it. I have to upsize my garage space and being that I just never rode this thing much I figured it was silly to keep hanging on to it. You will not be sorry or find anything at all about this bike that will disappoint you! It is VERY fast, from right off the line, to higher than I have ever revved it. It has amazing low end power, not at all like the inline 4cylinder jap bikes that you have to wind out to 10000 rpms to start making power! The only way I can describe its off the line power is that its almost explosive! It also handles like nothing else! It feels like you are sitting in the bike instead of on it and makes you comfortable with just leaning over farther than anything I have ever rode. This is a bike for a mature person! It is an engineering marvel/work of art from Italy that deserves respect!
