Ducati Superbike description

*Update: recently renewed registration through Oregon with tags good until June of 2015. Clean title in hand*

I am selling my 2007 Ducati 1098 Superbike with a clean title and many upgrades. Approximately 93XX miles and only one track day session; mostly urban/highway riding for the last 5,000 miles.

Small cosmetic scratches from the previous owner - no cracks. I just never got around to having it repainted mostly because the scratches just don't stand out and aren't that noticeable. Photos included.

Upgrades and new parts:

- black double bubble windshield
- Ohlins steering damper
- GP Suspension with eibach springs
- Ducati tank pad
- Ducati performance slave cylinder
- Speedy moto clutch cover
- Speedy moto clutch plate
- Speedy moto clutch springs
- Speedy moto front, rear, and engine sliders
- Vortex adjustable rear sets
- Full Termignoni system to include filter, ECU, and full piping - cans have about 2,500 miles on them
- Compwerks fender eliminator
- Carbon fiber rear hugger
- 7,500 mile service done at MotorCorsa in Portland, OR - at this time they found that the original camshafts had been recalled and an upgrade was still available for no charge (except labor). So the engine was basically rebuilt by a Ducati dealer apprx 2k miles ago with a full valve spring adjustment.

- Full synthetic oil changes done at 1k mile intervals, most recently at 9k
- New battery at 6,500 miles
- Rizoma bar ends
- probably some other stuff I forgot about

I also have a pitbull stand, extra seat, windshield, and textile jacket I'd consider selling for extra $.

In excellent condition the bike is valued on Kelly Blue Book at $9,500 from a dealer (not including sales tax) so my asking price is better than the fair value with all of the upgrades. That $9,500 value is at the "expected miles" for the 2007 year which are nearly double what my bike has.

Pleas feel free to ask any serious questions.

Ducati DVT – Desmodromic Valves Meet Variable Valve Timing?

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Ducati sent out invitations to motorcycle media about an unveiling on Oct. 15 for something cryptically called “DVT“. No other details were provided, though the likely assumption is Ducati’s version of a variable valve timing system.

Remus launch slip-on for Ducati Diavel

Thu, 25 Aug 2011

Remus have launched their Hypercone slip-on kit for the Ducati Diavel. It's almost 5kg lighter than the stock exhaust and helps the Diavel gain 5bhp over the stock system too. The slip-on reduces what some designers call 'the visual weight' of the stock twin-stacked exhaust.

Ducati 1199 Panigale on the Podium in Superstock 1000 Debut – Video

Tue, 03 Apr 2012

We’ve already reported on the Ducati 1199 Panigale’s domestic racing debut (and first race victory) but the 1098 successor has finally made its international racing debut in the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup. Barni Racing‘s Eddi La Marra captured pole position on the Ducati 1199 Panigale and led for the first six laps before the race was red-flagged after Team Brazil racer Heber Pedrosa crashed his Kawasaki ZX-10R. The race was restarted as a five-lap sprint.
