Ducati Superbike description

I am currently selling a 2006 Ducati 749s which I purchased last summer and have not had the time to ride it.  The bike is currently indoors, on a tender, and started regularly. The frame has been powder-coated white, sub-frame red. Swing-arm stripped and aluminum was brushed. Steering bearings were upgraded to tapered rollers. Headlamp bucket was blacked out, as well as the windscreen. Bar end mirror currently resides in the place of the stock mirrors but they are included as well. Valves were just adjusted and a full valve job was performed by Fox Performance Engines in Colorado. (@9200 miles, along with oil and other needed maintenance) The front forks were rebuilt and resealed at 9500 miles by Desert Desmo in ABQ. This was the last year of the 749's. It specs out as follows, 116 HP, 748cc, adjustable steering angle, tank and seat position, foot peg position, and brake levers. This Ducati has a metal tank! The newer 848's and 1098's have plastic tanks which hate American ethanol fuel and they swell and warp and wreak havoc!  Includes: 1 Ducati red key, 1 black Key, microchip codecard, and rear stand.  Bike is in perfect running condition and is sold as is with no warranty.  I am not in a hurry to sell, just seeing what I can get.  Thanks.

Austin Kicks Off MotoGP Weekend!

Wed, 17 Apr 2013

This weekend, the MotoGP circus makes its way to the United States for round two of the world championship, held at the stunning new Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, the first time the track will host a world championship level motorcycle event. Expect to see the world’s fastest racebikes reach speeds over 200 mph on the 1 km (0.62-mile) back straight, and bring ear plugs — these bikes are loud! Fresh off a 1-2 finish in the season opener in Qatar, Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi are looking to carry the momentum to CotA.

Really this sort of thing is Forsyth's thing. Although I'm probably wrong saying that and the old man will berate me for posting pictures of a Ducati with a bastardised engine. That it may be, but it's a serious bit of handywork...
