2004 Ducati 998 Matrix Edition. Very limited production (1 year only, about 250 made). Factory green paint. Adult ridden, and well cared for. About 12500 miles on it. Newer tires, oil changed recently. Upgrades include : SILMOTOR carbon fiber exhaust, carbon fiber heel plates, heat shield, chain guard and sprocket cover, piepercross air filter, integrated rear tail light/ turn signals and open clutch cover. Dyno tested at 114 HP at the rear wheel with a very good power band. Rear stand included with "buy it now" price. NEVER ON A TRACK! Has a couple minor scratches and scuffs, and a crack on the bottom left fairing near the kickstand. (see pictures). If you would like more pics, I can add or send you more. This is a very sweet ride that turns heads everywhere. I have gone on several long trips (600+ miles in a couple days) with it and can honestly say it's fairly comfortable, even with 1 back surgery and another on the way! Buyer is responsible for pick up and/or setting up shipping. I will gladly work with your carrier to arrange pick up. $400 deposit via paypal within 48 hours of purchase. Tue, 12 Jun 2012Max Biaggi strengthened his hold on the 2012 World Superbike Championship lead with a pair of wins at Italy’s Misano circuit. The Aprilia rider out-battled the Althea Ducati duo of Carlos Checa and Davide Giugliano to win Race One before taking a relatively easier Race Two victory. Before the races, WSBK riders lined up on the starting grid to hold a banner expressing their support for the Emilia region in northern Italy which has been suffering from earthquakes and continuing aftershocks since late May.
2014 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Touring D|Air Revealed
Tue, 15 Apr 2014Ducati officially presented the D|Air-compatible version of the Mulitstrada 1200, which claims to be the industry’s first motorcycle wirelessly connected to a wearable airbag. Available only for Europe, the Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Touring D|Air combines onboard sensors and Dainese‘s D|Air Street motorcycle jacket airbags into one integrated safety system. A joint project between Ducati and Dainese, the Multistrada 1200 S Touring D|Air uses two triple-axis accelerometers mounted to the fork bottoms and another two mounted under the seat with a D|Air electronic control unit.
Audi Announces Ducati Q2 2013 Sales Results
Fri, 02 Aug 2013Ducati sold 26,007 motorcycles over the first six months of 2013, a 4.8% decrease from the 27,316 units sold over the same period in 2012. Last year’s numbers however were on the books for Ducati’s previous ownership and the latest figures represent the first report for the period under Audi ownership. According to Audi’s second quarter report, Ducati’s sales decrease actually fared better than the worldwide demand for 500cc and larger motorcycles which contracted by 6.9% over the first six months of the year.
