Ducati Superbike description

For auction with very low reserve is my 2003 Ducati 999S. I am a 55 year old professional who is the third owner of this machine. The original owner was a middle age neurosurgeon who rode it very little. I purchased it from an attorney who was the second owner and it was he who put the majority of the miles on it. I purchased the machine in 2012 and have put about 500 miles on it over that time frame. I trailered it in my enclosed cycle trailer to our vacation home in the western North Carolina mountains in the summers of 2013 and 2014. It was ridden about 100 miles on each of those trips. I am a physician who finds himself working more and more hours than I desire so my collection of nine motorcycles and six cars must go. I simply have no time to ride and enjoy my Ducatis and BMWs so I am selling most of the bikes in my collection. I am listing this machine as well as my Ducati 696 monster and BMW r 1200s this weekend on ebay. I am certainly not a great photographer. If the photos look orange or more pink its simply my poor photography skills and lighting choice. The red color is factory perfect and has no issues.

This machine has been sitting on a trickle charger and frankly it should be with an owner who has the time to actually enjoy it and ride it! Of course, as an “S” model it has a bit more HP than stock and has Ohlins front and rear suspension. This machine has never fallen over or ever been crashed. The Michelin tires are in good shape and have plenty of life left in them. I have been on ebay for many years and have bought and sold many cars and bikes in this hobby. My rating is 100% and I am nothing but an honest seller. I do not have time to waste and play games with fantasy bidders who don’t have the desire or perhaps the funds to buy the machine. I am not a curmudgeon by any means but I find more and more of ebay sales are not completed. I have the reserve price set every low and this machine will sell this auction. In full disclosure I would like every bidder to know that the machine should probably have its belts changed, valves adjusted and oil changed. This is not from mileage or wear but just to be safe since it has been sitting here not being ridden. If you have any questions please feel free to email me and I will do my best to return the email. I work seven days a week for two weeks straight so phone calls are a challenge.  I thank you for your interest in my Ducati.

Termignoni exhaust is a slip on system that I added. I retained the stock rear exhaust can and carbon cover and will be included in the purchase of the machine if the buyer would like to have it. Thanks
