Ducati Superbike description

Selling part of my collection - this is the last year they made the Ducati 996 - I bought it about 10 years ago. I've personally put on about 3,000 miles on the bike. Bike runs spectacularly. Very well taken care of by Ducati dealers in Boston, and in Austin TX). Never been in an accident. I've done lots of carbon upgrades and had the wheels powder coated candy apple red (they were originally black). Bike is awesome, sounds and runs great, turns lots of heads, works really well... and goes like a rocket! I'm an experienced Ducati rider - and this Superbike is the best I've ridden! Also selling some of my other collector bikes - a 1972 Yamaha 175 Enduro, a 1970 Yamaha 100 Enduro, and a 1972 Penton JackPiner. Charlotte, N.C., writer and motorcycle adventurer Tamela Rich is heading out on a cross-country ride to raise money for breast cancer causes. Along her tour, Rich will meet with breast cancer survivors and interview them for her upcoming book, “Live Full Throttle: What You Can Learn About Life From Women Who’ve Faced Cancer”. This will be Rich’s second tour across the country.

Bernhard Gobmeier Replaces Filippo Preziosi as Head of Ducati Corse

Ducati has named Bernhard Gobmeier the new general manager of Ducati Corse, handing the former BMW Superbike racing director the reins to the company’s racing program. Gobmeier replaces Filippo Preziosi (pictured above) who will be reassigned to the post of director of research and development for Ducati, shifting his focus from racing to developing new products. The personnel change carries two storylines.

REIGNING MOTOGP World Champion Valentino Rossi has been out on four wheels again - this time joining his motorcycle racing buddies at Jeepers Kart track, Cattolica.The nine-time world champ, who recently announced he is to race for Ducati from 2011, was joined by Marco Simoncelli, Andrea Iannone and Mattia Pasini at the karting venue.Rossi, an accomplished racing driver, turned down an offer to move to Ferrari F1 in 2011, after impressing team bosses when he drove the squad's 2009 car in Spain.
