Ducati Superbike description

2000 Ducati 996 biposto superbike. Added 996 "S" rear seat assembly because I don't carry passengers. It fits on stock frame without any alterations. Original owner, never raced, never dropped. Pristine condition. Many extras including: Termi carbon exhaust, Pera custom seat, helibars, Ohlins steering damper, cycle cat adjustable rearset, custom open dry clutch cover, tinted windscreen, "S" monoposto rear seat assembly. Many carbon extras including mirrors, front fender, chain guard, heat shield. Note that this bike is a 996 biposto, not an S monoposto. I will include most of the original parts.

Ducati Issues Rear Brake Recall for Several 2012 Models

Ducati is issuing a recall on several 2012 models because of a problem with the rear brake. The models included are the 848 EVO, the Streetfighter 848, the Hypermotard 796, the ABS-equipped versions of the Multistrada 1200, and the Monsters 796 and 1100 EVO. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the friction material on the rear brake pads may detach from the backing plate, resulting in a drop in rear braking efficiency and increased stopping distance.

2012 FIM Road Racing Homologation List Released – Ducati 1199 Panigale Not Listed

The International Motorcycling Federation has released a list of homologated motorcycles for the 2012 Superbike, Supersport, Superstock and Formula Endurance World Endurance championships. The list includes all the motorcycles that are allowed to compete in each of those world championships. Notable for its absence however is the new 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale.
