This is a good condition 1998 Ducati 916. It has 12,794 miles. Bike is mostly stock with the exception of a Leo Vince exhaust system. Mechanically in good condition, brakes are good, tires have low mileage on them, battery is new. Oil is fresh. The bike starts and runs without issue. Cosmetically, the bike has some scratches and scuffs. The pictures will tell the story, but the bike fell over due to the switchblade kick stand. The bike has not been scratched. There are minor scratches on the front fender, a slight crack in the front right fairing, slight tear in the passenger seat. Tried to be as visible as possible in the pictures. It's aesthetic condition would make this a perfect track bike, or cleaner-upper. Clear, Illinois title. Shipping, delivery can be arranged. Call for details. Ben Spies to Miss Jerez MotoGP Round
Wed, 24 Apr 2013Pramac Racing announced Ben Spies will sit out the Jerez round of the 2013 MotoGP World Championship after suffering from chest pains at last weekend’s Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Spies cut short his 2012 season, missing the final two rounds to go under the knife last October to repair ligaments in his right shoulder. During the off-season Spies signed with the Pramac Ducati satellite team and worked towards coming back for the 2013 season opener at Qatar.
Piaggio Opening New Design Center in US
Wed, 14 Mar 2012Piaggio announced it is opening a new design center in Pasadena, Calif., to be headed by Aprilia RSV4 designer Miguel Galluzzi. Roberto Colaninno, chairman and chief executive officer of the Piaggio Group, announced plans for the new Advanced Design Center at a dealer convention for the Piaggio Group Americas in Miami, Fla. At the moment, North American customers usually have to wait a little longer before they receive new Piaggio models, with most models arriving on these shores months after they are available in Europe.
2014 WSBK – Laguna Seca Results
Mon, 14 Jul 2014Marco Melandri rebounded from last week’s disappointing Portimao round to win Race One at Laguna Seca while Tom Sykes extended his championship lead with a win in a red-flagged Race Two. Melandri got taken out of the second Portimao race after his Aprilia teammate Sylvain Guintoli slid into his RSV4. Melandri looked eager to make up for that DNF, leading every lap of Race One on his way to his third win of the season.
