Ducati SPORT CLASSIC 1000 description

For sale:

Ducati Sport Classic 1000, Bioposto.  This is considered one of the most beautifully designed Ducatis, if not motorcycles, ever built.  It is certainly one of Ducati's strongest, smoothest, most reliable power-plants.  The ride is aggressive and thrilling, with nice and easy throttle response. The Termi pipes make it King of the road.  Out of production, this is now considered a rare bike.  With some love and intelligent customization it can be one-of-a-kind.

Comes with the uncanny, thunderous Termignoni 2-2 Race exhaust system, and many many nice Rizoma parts.

After Market parts include:

Rizoma Brake Fluid Reservoir
Rizoma Clutch Fluid Reservoir
Rizoma Race Pegs
Rizoma Grips
Rizoma Rear Brake Fluid Reservoir
SpeedyMoto Timing Belt Sprockets
Custom micro-LED turn-signals, Frotnand Back (de-clutter the bikes profile)
A couple other things I forgot.
Ducati Performance Mirror )Left-side)

Notes:

The bike has 30,000 smooth Los Angelesvcommuter Miles on it. Never tracked, never down.  I had it shipped up to San Francisco.  In the process, there was some light cosmetic damage to the exhaust headers which can be repaired easily, as well as a slightly cracked Speedometer glass on the right side.  The bike shipped with a Paul Smart Rear fairing and extra front fender, but cowl has damage to the paint.  Bike feels fantastic with the bench seat.

I have had the bike inspected my Munroe Motors here in SF, and she is good to go.  Even with 30K on the clock the lifespan of the engine puts the bike in its prime.  Nicely run-in, all major services complete.  Nothing to do but ride - or customize,

Mild fixes and mileage make this bike's price attainable.

Reserve is set with respect to the issues that need attention.

Please contact me with any questions.  I am a Ducatista and very knowledgeable about this model, having owned 2 in my time.  I'm happy to discuss anything.

Happy bidding.

Former World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss out-dueled MotoGP star Valentino Rossi in a highly-anticipated showdown to win the Diavel drag race on the Misano Circuit‘s starting straight as part of World Ducati Week 2012 celebrations. Bayliss and Rossi faced off in the final round after getting through the preliminary rounds which also featured Rossi’s MotoGP teammate Nicky Hayden, reigning WSBK Champion Carlos Checa, Jakub Smrz, Sylvain Guintoli, Niccolò Canepa and Lorenzo Zanetti. The final between the two multiple-time World Champions saw Bayliss getting off to a clean start while Rossi’s Diavel wheelied off the ground a couple of times.

Tom Cruises on his Confederate Hellcat A man known for his epic enthusiasm (see video after the jump!), now has something he can really get excited about. What would have been a Mission Impossible for millions of other admiring Top Guns, Tommy has made a reality. The Color of Money without a doubt had something to do with Cruise rolling up to a movie premier on this, his new $70,000 Confederate Hellcat.

Back when GPs were really good: Part 2

Rossi versus Gibernau at Brno in 2003. Most of the time Rossi and Gibernau came together, it was a classic in the making but while Rossi on the factory Honda hunting down Gibernau on the satellite Honda is well worth watching, the threat of a looming Bayliss on the Ducati makes this one even better. Gibernau, fresh from a win in Germany at the previous round - having beaten Rossi to the line by 0.060 seconds - was full of fight.
