Ducati Paul Smart 1000LE description

This is a single owner bike which was always garaged and covered, and occasionally even ridden.
The two-into-one Termignoni exhaust and CPU were the first and most necessary upgrade.
The next was the comfort seat.
More recent cosmetic modifications include the cleaning up of the tail with LED lighting, addition of bar-end mirrors, billet aluminum reservoirs all around, frame sliders and exposed belt covers. The clutch plates have also been replaced however the preferred cover was not available.
For the purist or restoration minded the original exhaust can be included in the sale, along with mirrors and other stock parts I have on hand.
The 6000 mile service was recently completed and new Corsa tires fitted.
I have always protected the tank with the cover and found the included tank bag a handy addition when riding anywhere. There is no evidence of warping or bubbling of the tank which can allegedly be caused by some fuel.
This is a visually stunning bike and a true pleasure to ride. It was produced in limited numbers or only 2000 worldwide, and is based on the Sport Classic frame and air cooled engine combination to commemorate the partnership with Paul Smart and his win at Imola on the legendary 750SS.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
I reserve the right to remove this listing in the event a local buyer is successful.

Wrecked Ducati Desmosedici RR to be Auctioned

Tue, 20 Sep 2011

For sale to highest bidder: slightly used 2008 Ducati Desmosedici RR street-legal MotoGP replica. Okay, maybe “slightly used” is a bit misleading. This Ducati Desmosedici RR (one of only 1,500 produced) lost a battle with physics and currently sits in pieces at Insurance Auto Auctions’ Fremont, Calif., branch.

As previously reported, the deal will be officially announced April 18, ahead of the annual shareholders meeting for Audi’s parent company, the Volkswagen Group.

848 Challenge: Silverstone race results

Mon, 26 Sep 2011

Race 1: Race 1 produced another memorable 848 Challenge race, with Mike Edwards (MSKworks.com) in determined mood to record his first race victory of the season. But Kenny Gilbertson (AOR/Boast Plumbing), Leon Morris, and Robbie Brown (Ducati Manchester) were to push him all the way, with the front four riders each having held the lead by the half way point. Further back Mark Cheetham (Shorrocks Motorcycles) was trading places with ex-Champion Darren Fry (JHP/Buildbase Ducati) with Aaron Brown (Ladybirds Ducati) and Ricky Holden (Holden Racing) less that a second apart.
