Ducati Other description

Extremely well preserved low mileage 1974 Ducati 750GT Motorcycle. Collector condition. All original paint. Only 6500 original miles. Freshly serviced and Brand new battery installed. Starts first kick. Idles perfectly. Revs quick. Tons of power. Unique growling throaty sound. Clutch is smooth and tight with no slippage. All lights and signals fully functional with new high quality bulbs installed. Charging system works fine. Tires are presumed to be originals and do exhibit signs of dry rotting but still hold air and ride down the highway just fine. I would recommend replacing for safety for regular use. The transmission occasionally tends to pop out of fist gear, This is easily resolved by simply holding up the lever until shifting into second gear. The bike has a surprising agility and fantastic power band around town or out on the open highway. It really runs and rides like a muscle car of the period. There is some signs of wear and use. The rims are clean and super straight but could be further detailed. The front brake master cylinder has been replaced and upgraded. The original paint exhibits some crazing and light misc wear and scratches. The gas tank at some point had been glazed and there is a little ding on right side in front of Ducati Badge very hard to capture in photos but could be removed easily I believe even without restoration. It's otherwise solid and has no leaks of any sort. The petcocks are also operational and without issue. While not mint or near mint it's a well kept and cared for original survivor. Always in climate controlled storage. Includes LOTS of history, paperwork, and original owners newspaper adv from Philly in 1976. I've put about 300 miles on the bike and it has been dependable with no aggravating bugs or issues. It is with much regret I have to offer for sale. A Legendary Machine always in the top ten and worthy of any collection or ready to ride and enjoy immediately! Reserve is under 15K. extremely reasonable for Rarity/make/model/condition. I recently came across a botched cafe modified example someone wanted 60k for. While hard to accurately asses a fair market value, I would guess between 20-30K. Bid to Win!!

Bayliss and Marinelli Part Two: Technical Features of the 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale [Video]

Thu, 24 Nov 2011

A couple of days ago, we shared a fun video featuring three-time World Superbike Champ Troy Bayliss and Ernesto Marinelli, head of Ducati’s superbike program talking about the new 1199 Panigale. While that video was cute with some entertaining interaction between the two long-time collaborators, it was rather light on information about Ducati’s latest superbike. Today, we have a second, lengthier video featuring Marinelli and Bayless offering a more technical look at the Ducati 1199 Panigale.
