Silverman Museum Racing will add a number of rare and historic Ducati motorcycles to the upcoming Bonhams motorcycle auction at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, January 9, 2014. Effenbert Liberty Promotes McCormick to WSBK Team After Talks With Bayliss Fall Through

Another Troy Bayliss comeback attempt has fallen through. The Effenbert Liberty Racing Team announced it was in discussions with Bayliss over entering a couple of World Superbike rounds this season as a wild card entry. Those discussions did not develop into a return for the three-time WSBK champion; instead the team will promote rider Brett McCormick to the now four-member Effenbert Liberty WSBK team.

Ducati Announces Record Sales of 44,287 Motorcycles in 2013

Ducati announced a new annual sales record of 44,287 motorcycles sold in 2013, an increase over the previous year’s total of 44,102. Revenue figures were not released, but we expect those numbers to be released with parent company Audi‘s annual report in a few weeks. “We are very proud and satisfied with our results in 2013,” says Claudio Domenicali, chief executive officer of Ducati.
