With a what if? approach to creating a dream bike, they sketched inspiring shapes which became a lower and longer motorcycle. The challenge of building a muscular silhouette over a pure-bred competition motor had to be met with determination and a delicate touch, and the result is a frontal area that looks like a power athlete on the starting blocks, explains the team at Ducati Design responsible for the project. Audi Finalizes Purchase of Ducati, Annoints Board of Directors

The purchase was completed through Lamborghini S.p.A., another Audi property and part of the overall Volkswagen family. Rupert Stadler, chief executive officer of Audi AG, has been named president of Ducati‘s new board of directors.
Claudio Domenicali to Replace Gabriele Del Torchio as Ducati CEO
Thu, 18 Apr 2013Current Ducati CEO, Gabriele Del Torchio, is leaving the company to take up new professional challenges. Replacing him is Ducati General Manager and Member of the Board of Directors at Ducati Motor Holding, Claudio Domenicali. Domenicali joined Ducati as a project leader in 1991.
