DUCATI MOTOGP men Casey Stoner and Nicky Hayden took to the slopes today, at the opening of the 2010 Wrooom event at Madonna di Campiglio’s in Italy's Dolomite region.The annual event celebrates Italy's upcoming motorsport calendar; press conferences with the two Ducati Marlboro Team riders, Casey Stoner and Nicky Hayden feature tomorrow, while the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro F1 team will conclude proceedings on Friday.Sadly, there are no 'You've Been Framed' moments. Not one of the Ducati duo goes arse-over-tit in the snow.

2011 AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike Champion Danny Eslick

Danny Eslick won his second career AMA Daytona Sportbike Championship, adding another #1 plate to the one he won in 2009. The Geico Powersports RMR Suzuki GSX-R600 rider won three races this season and added another five podium finishes to win the title by a 275-256 margin over Monster Energy Graves Yamaha’s Josh Herrin. Eslick clinched the title after finishing sixth in the first race of the 2011 season finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

AMA to Combine Daytona Sportbike and Supersport Classes in 2015

AMA Pro Racing announced plans to combine its Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes into a single category by the 2015 season. The two classes currently share many similarities including engine displacement regulations, minimum weight limits and eligible machines. The Supersport class has more restrictions on modifications and are limited to a maximum top speed of 165 mph while Daytona Sportbike machines are allowed to reach speeds up to 170 mph.
