Torquey V-Twin Touring BIke!! - OUTSTANDING SAFETY AND FIERY SPORTS PERFORMANCE The new ST3s ABS brings together the very best components – derived from extensive race track experience – and unparalleled comfort, making it ideal for day-to-day use or long-range touring. The 992 cc Desmo3 is the ideal match to the ST3s ABS chassis with its fully adjustable TiN-coated 43 millimeter upside down Showa forks, a fully adjustable Öhlins rear shock, a lightweight aluminum rear swingarm and ultra-light Marchesini 5-spoke wheels. The Brembo brake system, with ABS specially designed for sport oriented riders, features a design that manages the front and rear brake circuits separately. Additionally, the ABS system can be de-activated by the rider, and shuts itself off in the event of a malfunction. The instrument panel includes an analog rev-counter and an on-board computer with liquid crystal display, which, in addition to standard info it keeps tabs on fuel consumption, range on remaining fuel, and more. And as an added convenience, headlight beam height adjustment is electronically controlled from the instrument panel. For added security, all the bikes in the ST family feature an anti-theft immobilizer system, making it impossible to start the engine without the unique electronic ignition key. It was supposed to be a weekend of celebration. The World Superbike Championship was celebrating its 25th anniversary of racing at Italy’s Monza circuit. Promoters Infront Motorsports brought out 30 landmark Superbikes from the series’ history, while greats such as Fred Merkel, Doug Polen and Carl Fogarty were in attendance for what was supposed to be a weekend to remember.

Former Ducati North America Chief Executive Officer Michael Lock has landed a job at another exotic Italian vehicle manufacturer: Lamborghini. During his seven-year tenure with Ducati North America, Lock reorganized the company’s marketing, distribution and service operations, helping Ducati increase its share of the North American market to record highs. Lock is also believed to have been a driving force behind the development of the Ducati Diavel.

Audi and Ducati Announce “Come Together” Contest at Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Ducati and its new owner Audi announced a new contest ahead of the 2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The two brands used the rescheduled competition as one of their first collaborative promotional opportunities since Audi acquired Ducati earlier this year. The 90th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb also provided the opportunity to present two models, the 2013 version of the Ducati Multistrada 1200S Pikes Peak Edition and the Audi RS 5.
