This pre-owned 2006 Ducati 999R in red is available for sale at Euro Cycles of Tampa Bay located at 8509 Gunn Highway, Odessa, Florida 33556 PH: 813-926-9937 Web: OPTIONS:This Ducati 999R comes equipped with Speedy Moto rear sets, carbon fiber front & rear fenders, carbon fiber belt covers, carbon fiber open clutch cover, carbon fiber sprocket cover, CRG bar end mirrors, K&S bar end turn signals, Ohlins front & rear suspension, Fast by Ferracci clip-ons, Ducati Performance carbon fiber gas cap, Leo Vince SBK full exhaust with Power Commander, Integrated smoked tail light & fender eliminator, Puig smoked windscreen, and rear swingarm spools with rear stand included.OVERVIEW:Development chief Andrea Forni and his team have done a thorough job on the already oversquare 999R engine. Bigger valves ??? intake up from 40 to 42mm, exhaust 1mm wider at 33mm ??? are made from titanium instead of steel, so are 35% lighter, and have slimmer stems retained by 749R-style cones, not shims. New cams with more lift mean the valves open further, too.Reshaped cylinder heads and new pistons boost compression while titanium conrods bolt to a lighter crankshaft with a revised internal lubing system. The Marelli fuel-injection is revamped with a more sophisticated ECU and 12-hole injectors. The result is more torque through the range and a power increase of 11bhp to 150bhp, delivered 250rpm earlier at 9750rpm.While they were at it, Ducati made a few cosmetic mods, fitting a slightly wider screen, and blocking off the fairing slashes above the air intakes for an aerodynamic benefit. Revised ??hlins forks feature a top-out spring and reworked damping, and there???s a new ??hlins shock too, with modified internal valving for more precise damping adjustment.

Tue, 07 Jun 2011Ever since Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman rode their BMW’s around the world it seems anyone with a ‘GS’ has an open ticket to ride around the world and then write about it. And fair enough, if I could afford the bike and the trip then I’d be gone as well. Obviously, BMW reaped the rewards when Ewan and Charlie showcased what their GS could really do, changing BMW’s image from solid but stuffy, to solid and cool overnight.
FIM Superstock 1000 Homologation List Updated, Adds MV Agusta F4RR and Ducati 1199 Panigale R
Tue, 12 Mar 2013The International Motorcycling Federation has updated its homologated model list for the 2013 World Superbike, Supersport, Superstock and Endurance racing seasons. The list is largely unchanged from the list released in February with the exception of a couple of additions. The Superstock 1000 and Formula Endurance World Championship list now includes the 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale R and the MV Agusta F4 RR.
