2006 Ducati 999 S, CONTACT KYLE FOR DETAILS(480) The Ducati 999 is the most powerful and advanced twin cylinder engine motorcycle to come out of the Borgo panigale factory. The Ducati 999, along with Ducati 749, symbolize Ducati s long, glorious history and its domination of the World Superbike Championship that has lasted more than a decade. constant and innovative development in both technology and design have resulted in a one-in-a-million motorcycle, perfect for sports enthusiasts. When you look at a 999 Superbike you feel the need of speeding even if the motorcycle is parked in your garage, well if you are lucky enough to be one of the owners of this beauty, as the 999 is a very limited edition. The 999 satisfies the needs of even one of the most demanding buyers in this world: it has style, it has power, but in the same time is easy to maintain on the road and offers one of the best performance in the world. But the 999 does not only offer speed and performance, it also has a stunning design that makes it one of the most beautiful motorcycles in the world. The 999 was named by the press the best twin cylinder engine ever produced. It provides to its riders the power they need to win on tracks around the world, but also making every one turn they had when they drive around in a 999. The innovative and cool design immediately draws attention to this dynamic machine.Ducati intended to create a Superbike of stunning design that improves rider ergonomics, makes maintenance easier, reduces complexity of the motorcycle and offers performance second to none. The aerodynamics, mechanical and electronic components, chassis and running gear were developed first and styling followed. The debut of the twin-cylinder motorcycles was made in 1988, when Marco Lucchinelli was riding a Ducati 851 at the World Superbike Championship. It had an output of 128 hp at 11500 rpm. The 851 evolved to the 888, 916, 996, and 998, the last one with an output of 188 hp.Compared to its predecessors, the 999 contains hundreds of improvements and innovative technological solutions, and represents a true generational leap forward.Powered by a Testastretta Desmodromic engine, with an output of 140 hp at 9750 rpm, the 999 represents the pure sports bike: purposefully long, low, and narrow, with the ability to cheat the wind at speed. Its beauty is conveyed through the simplicity of its shape and exciting well-executed details. Ducati didn t create just a bike, they adapt it to the needs of every rider: each rider is able to establish a perfect symbiosis with the machine. As a result of its performance and dynamics, the 999 dominated its its rivals in the World Superbike Competition, capturing both the Manufacturer s and Rider s titles, starting the very first year of competition.Among the most appealing elements on the machine, the box-section swin
