MotoGP Rider Andrea Iannone To Visit D-Store San Francisco, Wednesday July 17

Ahead of next weekend’s Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Pramac Ducati MotoGP rider Andrea Iannone will make a stop at the D-Store San Francisco, Wednesday, July 17, starting at 5pm. Complimentary posters will be given out, and there will also be a raffle benefitting Riders for Health. Prizes for the raffle will include donations from photographer Scott Jones, grand stand seats from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and more.

Ducati 1199 Panigale Nets First Superstock Cup Win

Barni Racing‘s Lorenzo Savadori led for nine of 11 laps on his way to earning the first every Superstock 1000 Cup victory for the 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale. Racing in mixed weather conditions at Italy’s Monza circuit, Savadori took the lead on Lap 3 from his teammate Eddi La Marra. Savadori would hold that lead until the end, crossing the finish 1.651 seconds ahead of BWG Kawasaki‘s Christoffer Bergman and 1.884 seconds ahead of La Marra.

Results From Day 2 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island

World Superbike testing at Phillip Island came to a close today, and when the dust settled, reigning champion Tom Sykes stamped his authority, setting the fastest time of the test at 1:30.239, just five thousandths shy of the outright lap record held by Carlos Checa. The time was set during the morning session of testing, though nobody was able to best Sykes for the remainder of the day. Eugene Laverty, who was fastest on day one, showed his pace was no fluke as he stayed near the top of the time sheets, ultimately finishing second behind Sykes, with a best time of 1:30.513.
