Ducati Other description

The Ducati F1 series are considered by most people to be the last of the true Ducati's. That is to say, they are the last bikes designed by the company before they were bought out by Cagiva. As such, they are becoming more desirable by the year. The F1B was not really meant for street use, it came without turn signals or a horn, had a loud exhaust, etc. I bought this 1 from the original owner in 1996. He bought it with the intent to run in La Carrera, the Mexican road race. At that time, he had Jon White install NCR camshafts. I'm not sure whether he made the race or not! I pre-owned the bike for street riding and some track days with the DOCC. I decided to race the bike, and added some modifications. Ferraci forged pistons were installed with the proper clearances. The heads were ported and flowed with 1mm larger valves installed along with 40mm Dellorto carbs and a Verlicci exhaust system. I installed a Works rear shock, the front forks were gone through by Lindeman, and I added a floating disc brake in the rear. After a few races, I decided to build a Vintage racer and the Duck was put back in street trim. The frame was powdercoated, and a lot of stainless hardware added. The paint on the bodywork and wheels is original. It is in pretty terrific shape, but there are some nicks and such from being ridden. I have ridden the bike little in the last couple of years, it stays in my finished basement where the air is conditioned. The fork seals and belts were renewed in the last year. The original rear shock and hardware come with the bike, as well as the original exhaust system, along with some spares, decals, etc. There are no warranties, it is pre-owned, but everything works and it is a good machine.!!

Sun, 22 Oct 2023

A Panigale wrapped in Multistrada clothing – and we're one of only three in the world to ride it. Photo/Video: Alex Photo The arc of the aging sportbike rider goes a little something like this: In their youth, going fast and taking chances is the name of the game. Sportbikes are the status symbol that fulfills this desire and is the closest thing to a two-wheeled land missile they can get their hands on.

Rossi and Hayden Find Improvement but Disappointed with Results

Thu, 01 Mar 2012

The good news for Valentino Rossi is he managed to narrow the gap in lap times between his Ducati Desmosedici and Casey Stoner‘s Honda RC213V. The bad news is other riders improved more than he did. Rossi completed 57 laps and set a time of 2:01.550 on the third and final day of the second MotoGP test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit.

Ducati Makes Progress as Sepang MotoGP Test Concludes

Thu, 02 Feb 2012

The good news is Ducati managed to trim another second off of Valentino Rossi‘s Day Two test time. The bad news is the Doctor is still over a second behind Casey Stoner. Of course, considering how much faster Stoner has been compared with everyone else at the MotoGP test in Sepang, that’s nothing to be ashamed of.
