The Ducati 900 Darmah SD is 1 of the orginal classic European sport motorcycles. These 863cc 90 degree V- twin Desmodromic engine masterpieces are getting very rare and hard to find. This motorcycle had a partial resoration completed 25 yrs ago.The fuel tank, side frame panels and tail section were repainted and hand striped. Most of bike is orginal except Metzler tires, New Yuasa battery, K&N air fitlers and Conti two into 1 chrome exhaust..Fresh oil and filter, new brake fuids. Orginal miles. Very terrific condition, everything works. This motorcycle has been in my personal collection for 26 yrs. Includes orginal Owners Manuals

Ex-Ducati CEO Michael Lock Lands at Lamborghini

Former Ducati North America Chief Executive Officer Michael Lock has landed a job at another exotic Italian vehicle manufacturer: Lamborghini. During his seven-year tenure with Ducati North America, Lock reorganized the company’s marketing, distribution and service operations, helping Ducati increase its share of the North American market to record highs. Lock is also believed to have been a driving force behind the development of the Ducati Diavel.

EICMA 2012: Ducati Unveils Track-Oriented 1199 Panigale R for WSBK Homologation

Ducati has unveiled a new R version of its 1199 Panigale, providing an upgraded version of the sportbike for World Superbike homologation. Unveiled at the 2012 EICMA Show, the 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale R is based on the S model but with lighter components, ABS standard, a higher-revving engine, an adjustable swingarm pivot and full race kit. The Panigale R’s 1198cc engine receives new titanium con-rods Ducati claims shaves 1.38 pounds off the overall weight.

Report: Ducati Sold to Audi for US$1.13 Billion

Reuters is reporting Audi has reached a deal with Investindustrial to acquire Ducati for a price of 860 million euros (US$1.13 billion). Citing two unnamed sources familiar with the deal, Reuters reports the purchase price includes Ducati‘s debts, estimated by one of those sources at below 200 million euros (US$262.6 million). As previously reported, the deal will be officially announced April 18, ahead of the annual shareholders meeting for Audi’s parent company, the Volkswagen Group.
