Ducati Other description

Top of the line 1970 DUCATI 450 SCRAMBLER. Powerful, fast and highly collectible. Overhead cam four stroke. 5 speed. This is the only dual sport bike in my collection of Italian bikes and does not really fit in with my street bikes! Complete, correct, very original and in good running condition. Tank and fenders have been nicely painted. Lots of compression but has the factory de-compressor for easier starting.

Clear California title in my name. Brand new speedo so mileage is unknown (original speedo removed for repair and lost).

You are welcome to visit in Tarzana (San Fernando Valley part of Los Angeles).  Please call 818 705 8655.

Capirossi Announces Retirement at Conclusion of 2011 Season

Thu, 01 Sep 2011

Loris Capirossi announced he will retire at the end of the 2011 MotoGP season, closing off a quarter century of racing including 22 years at the Grand Prix level and three World Championships. “It’s an important moment in my career, and the decision I made has come about after a lot of reflection,” says Capriossi. “I’m happy that after 25 years, of which 22 were in the world championship, I’m at a point where I can still have a smile on my lips as I part ways, even if it’s difficult to think that I won’t be riding a bike next year.” The announcement was made during a press conference at Misano for the upcoming San Marino Grand Prix, the final Italian stop of the 2011 season.

848 build blog : 42 days to go

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

With just 42 days until the British Superbike season starts and the 2012 848 Challenge riders head to Brands for the first of eight rounds, I thought you'd like to see the lastminute.com preparations and hard graft going into my bike to get it ready for the season ahead. Instead of ending the season in one piece, I highsided in Race 1, buggering the bike and busting my shoulder. The bike and I have been feeling very sorry for ourselves ever since.
