Ducati Multistrada description
For the uninitiated, the Multistrada is a sport touring bike like only Ducati can do. The Pikes Peak version was made to commemorate Ducati's dominant performance at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The Multistrada still holds the record for fastest time to this day and was the first motorcycle to break the 10min mark. With all that being said, this is not a race bike. Its a sport touring bike with a gorgeous paint scheme and a lot of carbon fiber. When I purchased this bike I wanted a bike that I could comfortably carry luggage and a passenger while still keeping some sport feel. It definitely hit those marks and more. Even though its only been 2k miles theyve been trouble free and very enjoyable. I have tried taking it on improved roads and its worked pretty well especially with the traction control but I wouldnt venture too far off the beaten path. It still has that touring bike weight to it. The easiest way to describe this bike would be a comfortable couch with a superbike engine under it. You have great upright visibility, quality brembo brakes, adjustable suspension, ABS, traction control, and theres plenty left to bring luggage and a partner with you. Theres some small scratches on the right side mirror cover and crash bars on the right from a parking lot drop. Otherwise its in great condition. Always garage stored. When most riders were fully focussed on the race at Brno, Abraham was also studying for his law exams at his home race. The Ducati rider has had a fragmented season in 2012, missing races through injury, but he was able to get a top 10 finish with ninth in the Czech GP.
Audi Announces Ducati Q2 2013 Sales Results
Fri, 02 Aug 2013Ducati sold 26,007 motorcycles over the first six months of 2013, a 4.8% decrease from the 27,316 units sold over the same period in 2012. Last year’s numbers however were on the books for Ducati’s previous ownership and the latest figures represent the first report for the period under Audi ownership. According to Audi’s second quarter report, Ducati’s sales decrease actually fared better than the worldwide demand for 500cc and larger motorcycles which contracted by 6.9% over the first six months of the year.
