Ducati Monster description
Great Condition Monster, this bike is a blast to ride either for touring, in the city or anywhere else for that matter. Versatile, quick, responsive and it looks fantastic. It's super smooth down-low and is much friendlier than previous Ducati's. Clutch pull is light and engagement is very smooth with the wet clutch. Comes stock with ABS, 8-level traction control, 3 rider modes (Urban - 75hp and high rider aids, Touring - full 112hp mid rider aids and Sport - Full 112hp, snatchy throttle and aggressive engine map, low rider aids). Touring mode has always been the best balance for me.
Clear title in my name with no bs. Looking to sell only, not interested in trades. Cash or certified bank check only. Comes with matching white seat cowl. Battery replaced 1 month ago, less than 500 miles. Rear tire replaced last week, less than 200 miles on it. Oil change was performed at 3500 miles, intervals are 7500 so you're good for a while. All upgrades were made to make the bike more comfortable and safe. All were installed by professional mechanics either at Ducati NYC or at Vax Moto in Brooklyn. I rode this bike into December of last year and started my 2016 season in early February as soon as the snow melted. The heated grips and (easily removable) windscreen have everything to do with this. Goodies: Monster 821 Fender Eliminator kit with under-seat turning signals ($215 bought and installed by Ducati NYC) This replaces the passenger grab bars under the seat, which are useless anyway Ducati Monster 821 Touring Seat ($310 Option, 1" taller, stock seat included in sale, adjustable for shorter riders) Renthal Street Handlebars ($85, 1" higher than stock, much more comfortable) Acerbis Vision Handguards ($153, amazing at night, running lights built in) Oxford Heaterz Premium Sport Heated Grips ($90, amazing any time after September) Givi A660 Airstar Wind Screen, not shown on photos, fits perfectly ($140) Shorty levers ($65, more comfortable than stock) |

Mon, 02 May 2022Chasing dragons, eating barbecue, and reconnecting with my Southern roots Although I was born and raised in Virginia and North Carolina, I’ve done relatively little riding in the two states. When I got my first motorcycle license, I literally packed my belongings on my bike and set out for California the next day for a three-month, 11,000-mile tour. So, when I received the invitation to my 40th high school reunion (OK, 41st.
