Ducati Monster tech info
Ducati Monster description
I purchased this beautiful Ducati Monster 1200 S earlier this spring at a U.S. Marshal's auction in Kansas City, where the U.S. Marshal Service auctioned off several vehicles, including multiple Ducatis, it seized from a local individual. When I I bought this bike, I was thinking it would be a replacement my Monser S2R 800 I sold a couple of years ago, but due to a change of circumstance, I must sell the Monster. I have already submitted the necessary paper work to the appropriate state agency concerning the sale, and I have a clear title in hand.
This 145 horse power Monster is an "S" model, which includes Ohlins front forks and adjustable rear suspension, reduced weight wheels, and an increase in horse power from the base 1200. This bike also has ABS and the ability to select from three customizable drivings profiles on the fly that modifies the aggressiveness of the ABS system and engine map. It does not appear this Monster has been ridden after the dealer check ride. As you can see in one of the pictures, the tire seams still have excess rubber. I, personally, have not ridden this bike. As such, you can be confident that this bike has not been abused during its break-in period. I replaced the original battery, which would not hold a charge, with a new OEM battery earlier this month. If you have any questions or would like to inspect Monster before the conclusion of the sale, please feel free contact me. This bike is being sold as is, whereas, with no warranty from Seller, express or implied. Unless other terms are agreed upon by Buyer and Seller, a $500 down payment via PayPal is due within 24 hours of the conclusion of the auction. Buyer must pay the remaining amount owed and remove the bike from Seller's premises within 7 days of the conclusion of the auction. |

2010 NCR Millona 16
Wed, 02 Jun 2010Take one Ducati Desmosedici 200+hp engine and put it into a super lightweight NCR chassis and you’ll quite possibly have the world’s fastest and most powerful motorcycle. At 145kg dry weight it’s lighter (even) than a MotoGP bike… The 989cc V4 produces a staggering 200hp @13.800rpm and 116Nm @10.500rpm. We’re going to have a chat with Michele Poggipolini of NCR about this bike, but we strongly suspect it’s a one off special.
Lorenzo Wants to Race at Assen Despite Breaking Collarbone in Three Places
Fri, 28 Jun 2013Jorge Lorenzo underwent two hours of surgery earlier this morning in Barcelona, Spain, to insert eight screws and a titanium plate to secure his fractured collarbone. By the afternoon, the Yamaha rider was back in the Netherlands to prove he is healthy enough to race in tomorrow’s TT Assen. The reigning MotoGP champion broke his collarbone in three places after high-siding in a wet practice session Thursday.
Ducati Targeting Aprilia Racing Manager Gigi Dall’Igna
Wed, 09 Oct 2013Ducati has reportedly signed Aprilia Racing manager Gigi Dall’Igna to take control of its struggling MotoGP program. Neither Ducati Corse or Aprilia Racing have confirmed the reports, but several sources in the European motorsports press such as Motociclismo.it, not to mention a tweet from retired World Superbike Champion Max Biaggi, claim the deal is done. Dall’Igna has been an instrumental figure in Aprilia’s racing success since the manufacturer’s return to WSBK racing with the RSV4 in 2009, helping guide Biaggi to two championships and, pending the result of the 2013 season finale at Jerez, likely three manufacturers titles.
