Ducati Monster description

2012 Ducati Monster 796 with Isle of Man paint version in mint condition. It has ~3700 miles, one owner. ABS with single sided swing arm. Rizoma mirrors and LED turn signals and lights. Tail eliminator kit. SC Project exhaust. CNC Racing gas cap. Speedy Moto frame sliders on frame and front/rear wheels. Battery tender. Never raced, pseudo raced, macho'd, tracked, etc. Plenty of chicken strip material left for your taking. Title in hand, clean, lienholderless, single owner, always garaged, completely detailed. $9000, OBO. Listed locally as well.

Not interested in any trades. Not interested in nonsensical haggling. This is only an extra bike, not me trying to make rent or pay for a kidney transplant. Pick it up and take the Blue Ridge Parkway home (5 minutes away) or hit the Tail of the Dragon on the way home. Payment will be completed and verified at local bank branch while having title notarized.
Lots of other goodies available for this that I haven't installed yet, e.g. Speedy Moto Clip on, CNC rear sets, etc.

George White & Visordown: 848 Challenge

    Tue, 03 May 2011

I've never met a motorcycle dealer who isn't flat-out 24/7 and Steve Gannicott, the big cheese at George White Motorcycles, is no exception. George White's have 7 dealerships across the country and 6 outlet stores - a lot to keep on top of so Steve probably didn't need me pestering him all day but that's exactly what he got. When I managed to get hold of Steve, he was really supportive of my entry to the 848 Challenge and wanted to get behind it because George White now has a Ducati dealership.

Rallying the troops for a rip through Morocco Photos by Alex Photo. Not having children of my own, nor many in my close circle for that matter, I forget how seeing the unadulterated enthusiasm and joy from a child can brighten up one’s entire day. Of course, when it’s due to a group of motorcycles roaring through their small town in the desert outside Marrakech, that joy makes an incredible experience that much more memorable.

    Mystic Mac's 2014 MotoGP predictions

    Thu, 06 Feb 2014

There is no real off season in Moto GP.  Although we complain about being starved of racing, for those at the sharp end, in little more than two months they have new bikes to assemble, team staff to put in place and sponsors to nail down that will pay for it all.  This time frame is also tight for riders, as it seems more every year go straight under the surgeon’s knife after the last round and spend the short winter recuperating for the season ahead. The 2014 Moto GP championship looks like a cracker as apart from the ten full factory riders we now have at least eight non factory riders with properly competitive machinery.  We also have five Brits on the grid, two with podium potential.  Whatever happens though (providing you have BT Sport) you can just sit back and enjoy watching the incredible Marc Marquez do things that shouldn’t be possible. Speaking of whom, I didn’t believe a Rossi replacement would come this soon.  And when I say replacement, I mean a rider that is the full package.  Although in some ways quite different to Vale, he’s an equally phenomenal talent plus a very likeable character that appeals to the masses and although respectful to his rivals off track, deadly competitive in the heat of battle.  Being young and good looking he’s obviously a dream for sponsors and the sport in general.  Marquez has evolved in his own way but thankfully into a perfect replacement for our sport when the VR steps down.
