This bike was most recently used as an ultra light race bike with the Minnesota Central Roadracing Association. It's got an Ohlins shock, worked forks, power commander, air box mods, clip ons, rear sets, and raised exhaust specifically to make it race ready. It has been in storage for the last 8 years. Its housed some mice and is generally pretty dirty, but still a very solid bike. It's been crashed a couple times, but all critical bits are very functional, and its always been a strong running bike. The worst damage is cosmetic only to the gas tank, as you can see in the pictures. It will take some TLC to get this back into prime condition, but it has been priced accordingly. We have all the original parts to make this back into a road bike, included loose in a plastic bin as pictured. Its available to be seen if you would like to get a closer look, just email me. Radical Ducati: RAD02
Fri, 14 Jan 2011I found this Ducati on tinterweb and I love it. Its RAD02 Pursang name hardly trips off the tongue, but the bike is a thing of beauty in the eyes of this beholder. Based around a Multistrada 1100 engine, with Keihin FCR41 carbs, Ohlins front and rear suspension and the swinging arm off a Monster S2R all bolted onto a custom frame.
2012 Ducati Streetfighter 848 MSRP Set at $12,995
Wed, 28 Sep 2011Ducati is pricing its new Streetfighter 848 at $12,995, the same price as the 2011 848 EVO and $2,000 less than the original 1099cc Streetfighter. The new 2012 Ducati Streetfighter 848 is equipped with a Testastretta Evoluzione engine similar to the one powering the 848 EVO but tuned to produce a claimed 132 hp and 69 ft-lb. (compared to the s848′s 140hp and 72.3 ft-lb.) In comparison, the 1199cc Streetfighter has a claimed output of 155 hp and 85 ft-lb.
2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale Recall Expands to US
Wed, 20 Jun 2012As we expected, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a recall for the 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale following a similar recall in Canada. The recall affects all versions of the sportbike, including the base 1199 Panigale, 1199 Panigale S and the 1199 Panigale S Tricolore. Ducati is recalling the Panigale because a “non-compliant” screw may have been used to attach the rear suspension linkage to the swingarm.
