Ducati Monster description

Well maintained Monster 900 for sale.
Specifics:
Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tires with about 500 miles on them about 18 months old.
Mobil 1 10W-40 and K&N filter, last changed about 500 miles ago.
Braided stainless brake lines, DOT4 fluid, changed about 500 miles ago.
Ferracci carbon exhaust, wrapped pipes.
EVR open clutch basket, pressure plate and springs.
SpeedyMoto frame and front axle sliders.
14 front sprocket, 40 rear.  Chain replaced 3 years/1500 miles ago.
AGM battery <1 year old.
Clip on handle bars.
Passenger pegs removed, aftermarket rear sets.
Carbon fiber rear hugger and front signals.
Fender eliminated; red anodized frame plugs installed.

Last valve inspection at 6k miles.
Inspection valid through September.  Current registration.
Mileage is about 9900 but may change with demo rides.

The bad: clutch lever sensor bracket broken so need to start in neutral unless you replace the bracket.  Finding neutral is pretty easy/infrequent false neutrals.  See handle bar photo; it's the bit hanging by fork tube.  I have only one key: the black one.

Bike is located in Mansfield, TX.  I will be available to show it 0800-1700 through July 17th.  Local pick up only; shipping will not be available.

MotoGP Approves “Factory 2″ Rules

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

We’re just days away from the start of the 2014 MotoGP season and one would think it’s a little late for series organizers to make any significant rule changes. At least, one would think that if one were unfamiliar with the political back-and-forths going on between the major manufacturers and MotoGP promoter Dorna. But with the season-opening Qatar round about to begin, the Grand Prix Commission approved new rules establishing a compromise between the new Factory and Open options.

Many hands make light work...

This was the sorry looking JHP Ducati after Darren Fry crashed it in qualifying on Sunday before the first race of the championship. Fry broke his coccyx in the crash but, fortunately for Fry, it took around 10 people just over 3 hours to get the bike ready to race, as can be seen in the picture below. Hats off to Darren Fry for racing the bike over the rest of the weekend.
