Ducati Monster description

1999 Ducati Monster, heavily modified, less than 7000 miles.

Great bike, super fast, amazing handling, I just want something that's cheaper to work on. I'm sad to let her go, once you get used to the Ducati V-twin sound and feel, it's hard to have anything else. It's never been left uncovered outdoors, and it has been garage kept for 10+ years. BRAND NEW: battery, tires, rear sprocket, belts, and valves.

The list of modifications include:

Light weight racing wheels, carbon fiber front and rear wheel fairing, added headlight fairing, custom front turn signals, single integrated taillight/turn signal assembly, custom mirrors, slipper clutch, light weight flywheel, jetted carbs, FULL CUSTOM SIL MOTOR EXHAUST, evoluzione clutch slave cylinder, clip-on handle bars, relocated license plate, custom tuned suspension, shortened front rake, stiffer rear spring, the list goes on.

NEEDS TRANSMISSION WORK - hasn't been started in a long time, but last I tried, the engine did turn over. Has a bent shift fork, so the transmission definitely needs some work.

I will consider trades, OBO.  Email for more information.

If Rossi went to Ducati...

Tue, 30 Mar 2010

BY THE WAY he's been enthusing about Yamaha over the last few months, the chances of Valentino Rossi defecting to Ducati for his final stint in MotoGP looks increasingly slim. But if The Doctor did decide to end his illustrious motorcycle racing career with Ducati, then this is what his Desmosedici racer could look like, says bike design guru Oberdan Bezzi. Looks cool in Martini colours, yes?

Satellite Ducati Team Reveals Desmosedici GP12 Specs

Fri, 20 Jan 2012

Ducati continues to be tight-lipped about the 2012 edition of its Desmosedici MotoGP race bike, but specifications have finally emerged, thanks to satellite rider Karel Abraham and the Cardion AB satellite team. As a satellite entry, Cardion AB and Abraham won’t have the latest updates to the Desmosedici the factory team has access to, but the Czech team’s announcement reveals some of the basis behind the final machine riders Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden will ride. The Czech team revealed on its official webpage its Ducati Desmosedici GP12 will produce around 250 hp from its 999cc engine.

Wrooom 2012: Fun and Games for Rossi and Ducati Before Going Back to Work on MotoGP Project

Fri, 13 Jan 2012

The pressure is on Ducati and Valentino Rossi this off-season to revamp the Desmosedici for the 2012 MotoGP Championship after a lackluster 2011. But that doesn’t mean Vale et al can’t have a bit of fun at the annual Wrooom press event held jointly between Ducati‘s MotoGP team and Ferrari‘s F1 squad. Rossi took part in a pair of four-wheeled races on the frozen lake at Madonna di Campiglio where Wrooom took place.
