Ducati 900 GTS description
RELISTED DUE TO NON PAYMENT..Please if your going to bid be prepared to pay..And please ask any questions.. I've added more photos and more details and NO RESERVE! 1978 Ducati 900GTS Frame #854652 Engine #854765 Here is your chance to own a preserved original condition 4000 mile Square Case Bevel Head Ducati at a reasonable price. This 900GTS is 1 out of 300 bikes produced in 1978 and only 80 of them went to the US market.. I purchase this bike from the 2nd owner who is a dear friend a few years back. He owned the bike since 1979 or 1980 and held it in his collection since i purchased it. It has been well cared for and has only 4065 miles on the clock. The miles are true and correct. It has its original black paint with silver stripes. The paint is in fantastic condition and has only very light crackling in it if you look very closely in sunlight due to its age.. The patina is true and honest.. Recently serviced which includes rebuilt carbs, fuel tank clean and inspected, oil change, new battery..This bike runs perfectly and purrs like a kitten . The only non original part on it are the K&N low handle bars which the pervious owner switch out..I will provide its original factory handle bars in with sale. The original headers were black chromed back in early 80's to match color of handle bars. Factory and original LaFranconi exhaust and no dings!!All switches and lights work as they should. The Pirelli Phantom tires are in great shape. Still has factory side stand and center stand still intact and in perfect condition. Factory electric start and also kick start. Both working perfectly. This bike was purchased new from Ghost Motorcycles Dealer in Long Island, NY and still has dealer sticker on rear fender. The dealer is no longer in business. It just so happens that I personally know the old owners and they verified the dealer sticker on rear fender to be true and accurate. They also gave me a old business card which I will include in sale. What more can i say, the bike is still new with very low miles. Any questions please ask and i will do my best to answer the best i know how. Don't let this one get away, you don't find them like this to often anymore.. Good Luck and bid with confidence. What's Bayliss up to these days?
Thu, 13 Aug 2009Troy Bayliss might not be in the limelight these days, but the ex-World Superbike champ has been busy down under testing Aussie V8s for the Jack Daniel's Racing Holden team. Bayliss has made it quite clear that he wants to race V8s as the next stage of his racing career. He allegedly turned down a multi-million dollar contract from Ducati when he decided to quit WSB.
Ducati Diavel Carbon, with a cherry on top
Sat, 05 Feb 2011Here at the launch of the Ducati Diavel, there's a Diavel Carbon on display with a few extra Ducati goodies, including the 20mm lower 'Touring' seat. It's trick.. The only thing I'm not so sure about are the wheels, which are black and metal cut finish, as standard on both bikes.
Magneti Marelli to Supply Electronics System to MotoGP Teams
Wed, 26 Sep 2012It’s no secret that promoter Dorna Motorsports has been trying to push a standardized electronics control unit for teams in the MotoGP World Championship. The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. The manufacturers competing in the series, Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, understandably are resistant to the idea considering the effort they’ve put in to develop their electronics systems.
