Chopper Chopper description

Custom hardtail chopper built by Tom Todd. Featured in the 2006 issue of American Iron magazine. S&S 1200 with a few mods about 115hp. Built for charity, it was raffled off and the winner never rode it. He had sold it to a dealer in my area where it was stored a few years. A couple people had bought it since then but it was traded back in to that same dealer. Then I bought it a month ago, I ride it every now and then. This is a sweet bike and it rides like a hardtail should, very powerful machine. Very few miles, less than 500. The original tires have very little wear. It does show it's age in a few spots wear the chrome plating has started to flake but not serious. Any questions feel free to send a message - name is Erik.

Lawn-Mowing Motorcycle

Mon, 20 Apr 2009

I can’t count how many sunny Saturdays in my adult life I have spent lamenting the fact that yard work took precedent over being able to spend the entire day out riding my motorcycle.  Well, instead of wasting time dreaming, a farmer and motorcycle enthusiast managed to find a way to fix this problem by converting an old worn out ride on lawnmower into a chopper that actually, chops. Powered by a 17.5 HP Briggs and Stratton motor, the bike was constructed with the help of an old bed frame, an aluminum running board and parts from two old bikes. Now instead of choosing between going riding or doing yard work, this ingenious inventor can do both!

Last year, the “American Chopper” TV franchise was reinvigorated by a special live show that brought in nearly 5 million total viewers and was the most-watched show among men of the entire TV schedule’s night. Called “American Chopper Live – The Build-Off,” the show pitted the Orange County Chopper crew against Paul Jr. Designs and the irascible malcontent Jesse James.

Custom Choppers for Allstate Insurance by Ness, Perewitz, Fairless Unveiled at Bike Week

Tue, 13 Mar 2012

Mega stars of the custom chopper world Arlen Ness, Dave Perewitz and Rick Fairless have each built a one-off custom motorcycle for Allstate Insurance Co. Each bike embodies themes representing Allstate’s involvement in the motorcycle community, like the company’s motorcycle awareness program called Once is Never Enough (ONE), which Fairless incorporated into his design. A fourth motorcycle, a Victory Cross Country customized by Ness, is the grand prize in Allstate’s national sweepstakes (www.allstate.com/motosweepstakes).
