Chopper Chopper description

Original bike with 56,000 miles was rescued from years in salt air on Whitmarsh Island outside of Savannah, Georgia.  The entire stock 883HL taken down and apart. All salvageable components were closely inspected, refurbished and polished. All parts destroyed by corrosion were replace. Engine components were polished and resurfaced where possible to original specifications. All components too corroded to refurbish or irreparable were replaced with either OEM or custom aftermarket parts. Bike restyle for chopper look and feel.  Over $2,500 in front-end components including handlebars, custom grip, levers, wiring, lights, forks and spindle, wheel and tire.  This bike is a-ma-zing!!!

Original stock handlebars and grips - GONE - replaced with full size apes and custom grips
Original stock front forks - GONE - replaced with custom bolt-on front end by Seeger, 10" down and 14 degrees out
Original bar mounted stock speedometer - GONE - replaced with custom bobber-style dash
Original 4.5 gal stock gas tank - GONE - replaced with stretch 4 gal aluminum bobber-style tank
Original 1/2-up HD seat - GONE - replaced with full 1-up king/queen style Le Pera seat and padded custom sissy bar
Original stock oil cooler - GONE- replaced with update, linear chrome oil cooler
Original stock air cleaner - GONE - replaced with chrome, dual outlet air recycler and evaporator
Original engine covers - GONE - replaced with new chrome OEM engine covers
Original wheels - REFURBISHED - sandblasted, powdered coated to original specs
Original headlamps and turn signals - GONE - replaced with dual tear-drop 75 watt chrome lamps and mini-signals front and rear
Original levers - GONE - replaced with custom chrome billet levers and control lines
Original frame - REFURBISHED - sandblasted, powder coated to original specs
Original stador and coil - GONE - replaced with OEM electrical/ignition components and calibrated by HD specialist to factory specs
Original foot pegs and control - GONE - replaced with Kuryakan control components
Original, corroded exhust and mufflers - GONE - replaced with straight pipes, no mufflers......this baby is loud and proud!

This bike is NOT a cruiser!  It does not ride like a cruiser.  But, oh, how you will thoroughly enjoy riding this baby up and down Daytona Beach, along the miracle mile at Myrtle Beach, cruising through downtown Sturgis, back and forth along the Pacific Highway, through the desert from Lake Havasu City to Las Vegas, along the lakefront in Chicago, from Miami through the keys....she is, well, you'll have to experience her for yourself.

Peter Fonda would have been more than comfortable on this girl.  Although she's pristine in appearance and has the body of Adonis....... there is one, bad mutha underneath.  This 883cc has been bored to equivalent of 1200cc and she pulls astounding torque from the minute you throttle up.  Absolutely NO vibration or over-steer through 90mph.  The custom seat / sissy bar combination and high-rise, swept back big apes let you lay back into the wind.  Windshield is easily removed for cruising up and down the strip, easily replaced for reducing wind, rain and bugs.

Our loss.....is ab-so-lutely your gain.  Parting with her because - we need the money!

Chopper Powered by Natural Gas

Claiming to be the worlds first, the compressed natural gas chopper was unveiled in Orange County, New York, by none other than Paul Teutul Sr., of Orange County Choppers (OCC) who constructed the chopper for the Chesapeake Energy Corporation. The build will be on OCC at some point this year, not many other details at this point. Hit the jump to watch the unveiling video.
