Of the 11,317 sold, this may be the most pristine one left. This Best of Show award winner will turn heads wherever it goes. With only 3 owners in nearly 50 years (original owner, his son, and me), this bike has been meticulously maintained by all 3 owners. After recently retiring, it is time to trade in my Bavarian beauty for something with an electric start. The bike has 26,742 miles, believed to be original, and runs well. Everything is original on the bike except the paint. The previous owners painted the bike so it is not the original BMW white. Numbers match on frame and motor. The bike kicks within 2 – 3 kicks and, with new carbs mounted in 2006, runs smoothly. Tires have 80% tread on them and the bike rides straight without pulling. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.

Bonnier Corp., Owners Of Cycle World, Acquire Nine Source Interlink Titles, Including Motorcyclist
Mon, 20 May 2013Bonnier Corporation, owner of Cycle World, Popular Science and Field & Stream magazines, among others, has just inked a deal with Source Interlink Media, acquiring nine of SIM’s motorcycle titles. Terms of the transaction, including purchase price, were not disclosed. Under the deal, Bonnier acquires Motorcyclist, Sport Rider, Dirt Rider, Motorcycle Cruiser, Hot Bike, Baggers, Super Streetbike, Street Chopper and ATV Rider.
