Paramount Custom Cycles â€œ2006 Ascendant”

The Paramount Custom Cycles production chopper, The Ascendant, soars beyond the average chopper. With a standard 280 Metzler rear tire, flowing sheet metal standard to a Paramount, and a big horsepower motor, the Ascendant is in a class by itself. Fat tires, big horsepower, and clean lines, the Ascendant is sure to draw a crowd! The chromed engine is 1825 CC's with S&S cases, flywheels, rods, pistons, cylinders, heads, cam, and SS shorty carburetor. The ignition is the S&S Intelligent Spark Technology. The Pipes are Vance & Hines, big radius 2 in 2 EVO /CVO breakdown. The transmission is a six speed with a Riviera clutch and left side drive. The frame is a 2006 Paramount Custom Cycles Ascendant, a rake of 41 degrees, and a 5-inch up 2-1/2 inch out with a Paramount Custom Cycles Swingarm (softtail), rear suspension works. The forks are SJP triple trees with a 47-degree rake. The wheels are welded with Metzler tires front and back. The brakes are Wilwood on the front and H.H.I. on the rear, the rotors are Brembo Floaters.  Additions: right side mount leather bag, sixshooter foot pegs and  64 white LED frame lights. Owner has title . Chopper is registered in Alabama

Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame Announces 2013 Induction Class

The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame announced it will induct five new members for 2013. The Hall also announced it will add one new member to its Freedom Fighters Hall of Fame. For 2013, the Hall will welcome to its ranks motorcycle attorney Russ Brown, custom chopper builder Rick Fairless (pictured above), Harley-Davidson dealer Bill Gikling, actor Marjoe Gortner of the television special “Sturgis: The Great Ride”, and antique motorcycle expert Lonnie Isam, Sr.

I can’t count how many sunny Saturdays in my adult life I have spent lamenting the fact that yard work took precedent over being able to spend the entire day out riding my motorcycle.  Well, instead of wasting time dreaming, a farmer and motorcycle enthusiast managed to find a way to fix this problem by converting an old worn out ride on lawnmower into a chopper that actually, chops. Powered by a 17.5 HP Briggs and Stratton motor, the bike was constructed with the help of an old bed frame, an aluminum running board and parts from two old bikes. Now instead of choosing between going riding or doing yard work, this ingenious inventor can do both!
