For sale a real jewel 1979 Harley Davidson FXE1200 Superglide Shovelhead AMF that is constantly hard to find in such great original condition. Bike has been serviced well, runs and rides excellent, everything works, no surprises, no disappointment. This is a collector dream, no questions asked. If you are looking for one you would know best.
This bike was bought new in 1979 by the original owner and sold later on to his friend that I got the bike from so the history of the bike is known from new. Please note this is not a restored bike but in original, factory "Chestnut Brown" paint and the bike looks to me very good considering its age and rides as good as it looks!
Bike shows 23K original miles.
Although the paint is original and not perfect it has accumulated nice patina with age. This Shovelhead is not a trailer queen as pictures show but very nice, presentable older Harley that will keep appreciating in value for years to come. Over the years only the exhaust was changed from the original 2-1 to a quite loud CycleShack 2-2 exhaust. I still have the original 2-1 exhaust that will be included in this sale. Both front and rear tires are like new, brakes work well, it rides, shifts and stops as it should. I have ridden the bike and shifted all 4 gears, it is a pleasure!! I have not seen any oil leaks on the motor or tranny. This bike has the original wet primary that will seep few drops of oil over time when bike is parked but that is being consider normal with those old shovs and new primary gasket should cure this problem.

Winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 7 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Make sure if financing that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding. We accept Cashier's check or wire transfer for full payment, allow up to 7 working days for the cashier's check to clear before we can release the bike. Due to a large number of zero feedback bidders we are no longer accepting bids from bidders with zero 0 feedback, unless they contact us first.
