This 2003 Harley-Davidson FXDWG (Dyna Wide Glide) 100^th Anniversary Edition epitomizes the long distance cruising bike that became a permanent part of Harley-Davidson lore and still represents the classic style…

This machine has been in a private collection since new, is started on a regular basis, and ridden occasionally.

The bike was purchased new and ridden very sparingly since acquisition.  All of the major engine, transmission, and braking components have been recently checked for wear and safety, and anything needing attention was serviced and/or replaced.       

The tires on the front and rear are both Harley Davidson Dunlop’s, a D402F, MH90-21 M/C 54H on the front and a Dunlop D401, 150/80 B16 M/C 71H on the front.   They are the correct and original style and are the original tires delivered with the bike. 

The Twin Cam 88 cubic inch engine and 5-speed transmission are in excellent interior condition due to the low mileage and absence of any type of harsh conditions or abuse throughout its life. 

There has been over $6,000 spent on the motor upgrading it with performance parts, including new pistons, porting and polishing the heads, new rockers, intake, carb, exhaust, etc.  I have a complete list and all the receipts for everything done and am happy to email it to you upon request.  There was literally too much done to the motor and the bike to list in this ad.   

A complete cleaning and detailing was just performed, and although detailing on a Harley is never truly finished, the overall condition of the motorcycle is remarkable considering the age of the machine and is in line with the low original mileage.

The aluminum and chrome plated parts are in near flawless condition overall, and look almost new.       

The paint is on the gas tank and fenders is original and again, in nearly flawless condition, with no chips or scratches evident.  The original tank emblems, which are a one-year only design, are applied to the gas tank. 

The Harley on the road is very fast, easy to handle, and rides down the road very tight, with no shakes, shimmies, or rattles.  It shifts and accelerates smoothly and holds the road as it should. 

There is absolutely nothing that needs to be done to this machine to ride it occasionally and enjoy it as a showpiece.  There are also quite a few parts that are included with the bike, such as the sissy bar.

The 2003 Harley-Davidson FXDWG Dyna Wide Glide commemorates the 100th anniversary of Harley's 1903 founding. The custom cruiser class street bike represents classic Harley-Davidson chopper-style design and styling

The 2003 Dyna Wide Glide features a powdercoated black and chrome Twin Cam 88 V-twin 1449-cc engine. The four-stroke motor has a bore and stroke of 3.8 inches by 4 inches with a compression ratio of 8.8:1. It produces 85 foot-lbs. of torque at 3,000 rpm. 

Chassis:

This motorcycle has a steel rectangular section backbone frame with twin down tubes. It uses a five-speed gearbox with a wet, multi-plate clutch. The front chrome forks have triple clamps with 5.6 inches of travel, and the chrome rear coil-over shocks are preload adjustable with 4.3 inches of travel. The disc brakes feature dual-piston calipers.
