Very Low hour Survivor 1985 YAMAHA YZ250N in excellent condition. Still has some dirt from its last ride in 1985. I have not washed it.
The motor has a fresh first oversize bore with one heat cycle. I bought this missing many parts for the top end. I have no exact history on this but do know the previous owner trail rode it and rode on a private track. I installed the fresh top end and checked the low end bearing, crank area and it was like new. It was missing the head, head studs, power valve assembly, power valve covers left and right, power valve linkage parts, head stay mounts, radiator hoses, air filter, gaskets, New gas tank decals, and right-side plate.
After acquiring the missing parts and assembly, it starts right up and runs smooth and strong, shifts all gears easily. No coolant leaks or engine leaks.
Still has original Bridgestone M23 tires showing how little it was ridden. I see no marks on the rims, so I don't think the tires have ever been removed for a flat or a fresh tire.
New UNI filter installed. The filter will need oiling before any riding.
Rear shock and front forks do not leak and dampen really nice. No rust on the shock shaft or fork tubes. Damping settings are all correct with the manual.
Lower frame rails are dent free. Original exhaust has a couple small dings.
OEM muffler in very nice shape. Rims are in very nice shape with no cracks and no rusty or loose spokes. No slop in the wheel bearings, brakes work like they should.
Right side plate and gas tank stickers are the only non-original parts on the bike. The handlebars and grips are original. Original levers are straight. OEM sprockets and chain are still very good.
The OEM owners and rider manuals and original tool kit will go with the bike. There are a few used Yamaha tools that are included.
Matching frame and engine numbers 56A-001490

The bad; The clutch cover was dented from the kick start lever by kicking through without the foot peg in place. It does not leak so I left it in place. I have a nice damage free cover that will go with the bike.
The rear shock bumper is gone and will need to be replaced before any hard riding. The seat cover has a couple small rips near the gas tank as seen in photos. The front fender has some scuffs. I see no cracks in it, just the scuffs are noticeable. Front plate has a small crack above the cable guide. Rear fender looks very good.

This is not a clapped-out project bike. After the shock bumper is replaced, a good washing and light service is all you would need to go to the start line.
