Up for sale is this 1987 HARLEY DAVIDSON FXSTC SOFTAILCUSTOM with full custom paint job and extensive hand-engraved chrome throughout.

The bike spent its entire life in Montreal, Canada in heatedstorage and has 18,000 original miles. It was owned by a family member inCanada and recently transported back to the US for sale and servicing. Thisincludes cleaning the gas tanks and carburetor, fluids changed (engine,primary, transmission). The brakes, including front master cylinder wererebuilt, system flushed and refilled with DOT 5 silicone fluid. The plugs were cleanedand re-gapped, chain cleaned and lubricated, new battery installed. The enginestarted right up after this recent work and runs and rides great. The tireshave substantial tread, but should be replaced due to their age.

In addition to the custom paint job, the bike has chromecustom wheels, chrome brake disk covers, chrome sprocket and guard, chromeswing arm, chrome tool box, chrome engraved rack, custom seats, chrome customturn signals, chrome custom rear fender thrusts, chrome axle nut covers, fullset chrome bolt head toppers, engraved chrome engine guard, air scoop with custompainted butterfly valve, stainless steel braided cables. The bike has a customheadlight, custom drag bar and risers, chrome hand switches, lever controls andgrips.

The bike was hand painted back in 1994 by a well-knownCanadian artist “L’artix”. His initials and year of painting are painted on thegas tank. It has extensive air brushing and a metallic paint finish. The chromeparts were hand engraved by another well-known Canadian engraver, withelaborate scroll work and lettering on numerous chrome parts throughout thebike.

For anyone interested in the bike that may not want thetiger theme paint job, I have available a stock gas tank (2 pieces) and originalfenders from a 1988 Heritage Softail (see photo). These parts could be used toconvert the bike back to a more traditional look if that’s your preference.
