This 1973 Penton 125cc Six Day, was purchased completely restored from Mr. Sholder in Glenmore, PA, USA. While in his ownership he had the engine rebuilt by Doug Wilford with a new PVL ignition, (Now a Moto Plat Ignition) NOS cylinder, head, carb and piston (standard size sleeve). Doug jetted the NOS carb and set the timing on the PVL unit. Current owner has replaced the carb with a Lectron.

The wheels are polished, shouldered alloys with replated spokes and nipples, mounted with new Cheng Shen tires. New wheel bearings, seals and brake shoes, front and rear.

The frame is powder coated in silver and the wheel hubs are power coated in black. The fork has been rebuilt with polished lower tubes. Rear shocks and springs are WORKS PERFORMANCE, ($509. US$ a pair). Non-restored original shocks, and new Progressive shocks (12-1203B shocks, 03-1365C springs) and numerous perfectly working spare parts are also included with the bike. (see picture)

Practically all the hardware has been replated or/and replace with new.

New reproductions parts include: Fenders, exhaust tip, skid plate, seat cover, front number plate (side number plates are originals), chain guide block, and the chain guard along with a few other odds and ends (Locking plate on rear sprocket, cables…)

The factory gas tank is finished in the original OEM gel coat. It’s been lightly wet sanded (1000 then 2000 grit) then buffed and polished to a shine. New reproduction decals applied. There are some minor imperfections, but way too nice to repaint.

This 1973 Penton Six Day comes with Owner’s Manual, Parts Manual and full documentation of previous owner’s restoration. Also, current owner’s improvements, instructions, and other documents, articles included in a three-ring binder.[CL1]

Original OEM foot peg, PVL flywheel, carburetor, shocks, etc.… (see pictures)

Current owner took possession of this Penton in July of 2012. It has about one hour of riding time since, was never raced or abused. Its start easily, runs and shifts beautifully. See youtube video in listing above and pictures.
