2005 Honda CBR 150R

This bike is seldom seen in the US because Honda chose not to market this bike here.  At the time I believe it was due to emissions as I recall.

The fit and finish is typical Honda high quality and the 150cc  4-stroke single-cylinder has been around for a very long time, harkening back to the 60's in bikes such as the old Honda minitrails.  This iteration is the carbureted version.  Later versions were fuel-injected I believe.  I have stored this bike for most of it's life.  It has been ridden maybe 6 times by me and always well-kept.  You cannot believe the looks this bike gets.  Hardly anyone has ever seen one here in the US.  I rode it to Mid-Ohio Vintage bike days and fielded questions about it most of the day!

The paint is still nearly perfect.  I added a set of old Kawasaki mirrors because strangley, it didn't come with any.  I purchased the bike from a fellow that sold me a GSXR 1100 and this was setting in his garage.  I asked him if he wanted to sell it and I came home with it.  I also asked him how he managed to get it into the US.  He said that his business was in import/export so he was able to get it into the country, but without a title.  So, the bike does NOT HAVE A TITLE.  Never had one.
It was sold on a bill of sale to me.  Which is how I will be selling it as well.  So please know your States' laws concerning titles and registration before purchase!

The bike runs well but it will require a minor tune-up... only because it has set most of it's life.  I have rebuilt the carburetor due to such crappy gas these days.  But the carburetor will need some adjustment to idle properly.  I put a new lithium
battery in it last year and it helped significantly in spinning it over, greatly helping starting.  I also took the time to reline the inside of the gas tank, as it was showing some rust.  It now looks like new inside.  Tires have no dry-rot that I have noticed.

This bike is an absolute blast to ride.  My big porky butt weighs about 230 lbs. and I've had it to 60 mph....it can be street ridden but it's no speed demon.  I don't recommend highway speeds but that's really not what it's built for.  But 50-60 mpg IS what it was built for!  This would make a great pit bike, or for commmuting around town, or a great learner bike.  One rare, seldom seen, unique bike.  Don't miss out!!

Shipping is the buyer's responsibility.  I can store for a short period of time until shipping arrangements are made.  I live close to the Mid-Ohio race track if you happen to be going to Vintage Bike Days so pick up is easy from there.

Payment through Ebay is anyone's guess these days!  If you prefer to pick the bike up in person (preferred) I will accept cash only.  If you want me to store the bike for later pick up, the bike must be paid for in advance.

Thank you for looking!
