This machine is just like the one I had in high school, but in much better condition. Owned this one for almost 25 years, updating with NOS parts as they became available. Total mileage is unknown as the original odometer was broken. New instruments were added about 8 years ago. Frame has the original paint. NOS fuel tank, fenders and side cover in the original factory red with factory applied decals. The motor is original to the machine and the crank shaft bearings and seals were recently replaced by the Suzuki factory trained team at the local dealership, in business since before this model was new. Two stroke engines rely on crank bearing seals for proper crankcase pressure. Machines this old typically have seals that have become dry and hard. When this happens, it is impossible to get a two-stroke motor to run correctly. During this service, the rest of the motor was checked for any flaws. The carb was also rebuilt. Shocks and forks are original, but front fork seals and boots have been replaced. No cracks in the bellows protecting the steering dampener. Boot from the air box to the carb is new. Most control cables are new or are in very good condition. The seat was re-covered with a factory correct replacement as the original was not perfect. All chrome is in very good condition with a few nicks here and there. Not pitted anywhere. Factory turn signals and mirrors. All switches work. Has the original 6 volt electrical system. Any maintenance items such as tires, chain, air filter, bulbs etc have been replaced as needed. All this adds up to a lovely, time-warp machine that should please anyone looking for this model. The auction includes service receipts as well as a collection of manuals. Machines of this era, in this condition, are becoming harder to find. If you are looking for a nice one, this one should check most of the boxes!
Thanks for looking!
