I am a car and motorcycle collector and enthusiast, as well as a licensed dealer. This bike is currently sitting in my collection and is the nicest 90’s era sportbike I have ever owned, and possibly ever seen. This is a collection making motorcycle and there truly are not many of these left, let alone with such low mileage and in this condition. Cosmetically this bike is near perfect. There are a couple EXTREMELY small imperfections, and a few of the miscellaneous bolts and brackets would benefit a touch of polishing to be made pristine again, but that is just what it would take to make the bike actually PERFECT. In its current condition it is likely one of the nicest examples left in existence.
Mechanically, the carbs were just removed, cleaned and rebuilt. The tires and battery are all new. The bike fires up immediately and runs like new. This is a collection worthy bike but is also 100% road ready if you choose to enjoy the insane performance that is the 1st gen R1.
It also comes with a brand new, still in the box, Yoshimura slip on muffler.
