ThE R35 has a interesting history. It was designed and made by BMW Pre-WW2 From 1937-1940. After the war East Germans using BMW Parts and designs in BMW factories Started Producing R35's. Which is why even though it was made in 1950 it has such a distinct pre war look with the Riveted Plate Frame. In 1951 BMW sued the East Germans for using the BMW name. They continued making the exact same bike as BMW had made after 1951 but renamed it the EMW R35.

We acquired this bike in a trade knowing we could get it running again easy enough and once it was running sell it for more. But we have been swamped with other BMW Airhead projects and haven't even had time to pull it into the main shop. We did buy a new Carburetor, control levers etc. In reality we'll probably never get around to working on this bike which is why we are putting it up for sale. This is would be a perfect bike to just get running and drive around the yard to be the only person in the neighborhood with a pre war pressed frame Motorcycle. A full restoration isn't impossible for this bike either. If you google pictures of R35's the cleaned up plated frame looks very cool.
