This bike up for sale is a 1985 Honda V30 Magna VF500C.
It has 118 original miles on the bike. It has been in my basement since 1999.
The condition is like NEW. The paint is near perfect, one small blemish on the tank the left side near the gas cap it is about the size of a pencil mark and about 3/16 of an inch long. The chrome on the exhaust is great, the wheels are like new, the tires are still in excellent condition. Has the owners manual, and I have a copy of the service up until I purchased the bike. It had about 115 miles on it when purchased then was placed in my basement until just recently. The seat is as soft and supple as new, no weathering at all.
Recently I decided to get the old girl up and running again. Replaced the battery and it started up, but the carbs were overflowing. So being a bike mechanic my whole life, I pulled the carbs, ultrasonically cleaned them. The internals cleaned up to look like new. It runs like a sewing machine. The sparkplugs were replaced, as well as the oil and filter, the air filter is perfect.
These bikes had a surprising amount of power and smoothness for a mid size bike. It is the same engine as the 500 Interceptor, quick little bike.
As for how I got the bike and the low miles. The previous owner had ridden it briefly, was not too comfortable on it, so he let it sit for years. Then he decided to get it back up and running, thinking of driving it more. Was still not comfortable riding it, so he sold it to us, with 115 miles. We immediately put it in our basement for storage, being the very low miles. I am getting to the point of retirement so I decided to get her up and running again. Like I said replaced the fluids and cleaned the carbs, new battery etc. Runs awesome. I am only now going to offer it up for sale. Hopefully someone has a nice collection of Magnas and could use it. Color is black. This is a near showpiece bike.
Buyer is to be responsible for shipping, crating, or whatever type of delivery they choose. I do not crate or ship whole bikes. I know there are companies out there that specialize in this stuff,so check into shipping before buying. Again buyer is responsible for SHIPPING, or Local Pick Up. I am located in Northeast Iowa, by the Illinois, Wisconsin border.
If needed more photos can be done, or any questions, I will try to answer.
Thanks for looking and Good Luck
