1977 Yamaha XS750 2-D for your consideration. This three-cylinder shaft-drive cruiser is a strong runner that starts, shifts and stops as it should. We've gone through this bike to make it a safe and reliable rider. All maintenance has been done including engine oil and filter, gear oil, final drive oil, new pod air filters, battery and plugs. Carbs and fuel valves have all been cleaned and rebuilt and work as they should. All electrics function properly. New IRC GS-11 tires. Clear Ohio title in my name is signed, notarized and ready to go.

Now, there are a few things that we want bidders to know about. The previous owner started to "black-out" this bike before storing it around 19 years ago, so you'll find black paint on parts that shouldn't be black. Yamaha purists will notice the trim on the seat that should be Maroon is black, etc. The air box was removed by the previous owner along with the fuse box that was attached to it. Automotive fuse sockets were spliced in as pictured. We did make sure that this was done in accordance with the wiring diagram and all fuses are now the proper amperage. The tachometer works, but is laggy. This might get better over time, but no guarantees. At some point, someone tried to pry the headlight trim ring off at the bottom and it is bent significantly as shown. Everything in the headlight bucket is in order and working so no surprises in there it just looks bad. The front blinkers were replaced with what I think might be Suzuki units with cracked lenses but they work, so we left them alone. The odometer reads 4,466 and the cable showed no sign of tampering so we believe it's accurate although the title says 11,000 miles. Compression on all three cylinders was within a few psi of 150 and the transmission feels tight. The mufflers both have some rust through on the bottom rear. They are pretty solid otherwise and the baffles are all intact. The chrome in general is 5/10. Enough negative disclosures. The tank, side covers and tail fairing are spectacular as seen in the pictures and you won't be disappointed by how it rides.
